"This idyllic countryside wine farm is the perfect location for a wedding of relaxed simplicity. Fertile grape vines flow into verdant fields and rolling hills to create a chocolate box setting for your wedding."
La Petit Ferme sits in the foothills of the Mount Rochelle nature reserve, silently surveying the outstanding beauty of the Franschhoek Valley. Whilst the cities of Stellenbosch and Cape Town are within reach, this idyllic countryside wine farm is the perfect location for a wedding of relaxed simplicity. Fertile grape vines flow into verdant fields and rolling hills to create a chocolate box setting for your wedding.
Contemporary and chic the interiors at La Petite Ferme provide understated luxury. Crevices in exposed walls allow the wines that are nestled amongst them to take centre stage and the drama continues as the poolside tips into the luscious landscape. The main building’s soft beige walls are warmed with rich wooden furniture and stylish chandeliers to create a welcoming rural wedding retreat.
La Petit Ferme can craft an exclusive daytime wedding allowing you to share your nuptials with 36-110 of your loved ones in complete privacy. Tie the knot in the glass covered veranda or sculpt your aisle in the country gardens – both will provide stunning views of the valley. The hotel also offers a non-exclusive daytime option for up to 35 guests as well as the opportunity to marry under the South African stars.
Transform the veranda from ceremony to a formal dining experience or opt for an informal picnic on the lawn that Alice in Wonderland would be proud of (summer only). With the boutique cellar’s wines to tantalise your taste-buds and your personal wedding planner to ensure that everything runs smoothly, the only choice you need make is: red or white?
A range of accommodation is available to suit the pockets of all of your guests. Rustic self catering cottages offer an economical option; whilst the luxury of a Vineyard Suite with plunge pool and veranda may well tempt the happy couple. Why not host a wine tasting before your wedding to choose which corks will be popping on the big day: you can even add a surprise equine element! With a range of activities from paragliding to chocolate tasting on offer your guests will think of this as a wonderful holiday and your ceremony as the icing on the wedding cake.
