"An inventive synthesis of simplicity and grandeur. The cool clear waters of the Aegean blend with the crisp clean lines of the hotel to create an angelic and peaceful atmosphere."
Transport your wedding party to a natural wonder as you hold your special day on the volcanic island of Santorini. The island’s abundance of history is only superseded by stunning views of the Aegean Sea and the world’s largest Caldera. Perched elegantly on Oia’s cliffs, the hotel’s unique location allows you to absorb the unspoilt landscape in privacy and luxury.
An inventive synthesis of simplicity and grandeur, Mystique (part of the Luxury Collection of hotels) is aptly named. The cool clear waters of the Aegean blend with the crisp clean lines of the hotel to create an angelic and peaceful atmosphere. Chic linen suits and Grecian dresses would billow softly in the sea breeze as you host a passionate wedding in this intimate sliver of heaven.
Mystique offers a ceremony at the beguiling wedding pavilion where your nuptials will be in harmony with the nature that surrounds you. If you long for a more intimate ceremony, you may wish to say ‘I do’ in the romantic seclusion of your terrace. Wherever you decide, your ceremony will be complimented with meticulous planning from the staff at Mystique and the unapologetically immaculate views.
If you wish to ensconce you guests in a wedding breakfast of pure indulgence, the views and fresh locally sourced produce of Charisma Restaurant offer the perfect atmosphere. Why not start your evening alfresco with drinks by the pool at Aura Bar and conclude the festivities with a nightcap in the Secret Wine Cave?
Continuing the theme of minimalist luxury, Mystique’s 22 suites and villas are shaped with driftwood furnishings, panoramic sea views and little extras: a Jacuzzi bath for example. A special touch is that the hotel is only open to guests, so your privacy and views are protected. For guests enticed out of the hotel, private cruises to the volcano sail in the morning and evening and include a swim in the Hot Springs. Santorini can also delight your guests with a black sand beach, the Ancient City of Thira or a thirst quenching stroll through one of its many wineries.
The tourist season in Santorini operates from May-September, during these months the majority of hotels, restaurants and shops will be in full operation - outside of these months the island can start to become a ghost town. May-June and September experience fewer visitors, more comfortable temperatures and can there be a more relaxing time to visit. July-August are the peak visitor months when the island is busy and the sun is hot. During the summer months the island experiences temperatures in the mid 20's to 30 degrees celsius and low rainfall.
Mystique are able to conduct civil ceremonies and blessings only. For religious ceremonies St Georges church is located 1km from the resort.
